My Hair's Life

I decided this was the perfect opportunity to be able to document my hair growth from literally start to end...well..not end, end...just end in the sense that it has reached the length I want:)
This journey started when in May of 08 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had to cut my hair, which at that point reached down to my waist! I cut off 14 inches and sent them off for someone else to be able to use and then had a cute little chin length swing bob for about 3 weeks until my hair started falling out from chemo. I then had a lovely summer and fall with no hair...well, that's not quite true as not all of my hair fell out and I didn't ever completely shave my head so I had a couple of spots where I had some tufts of very short hair, like the crown of my head! But then after all of the chemo was over for about two months and all of the side effects of the drugs were out of my system(I also lost all body hair including eyebrows and eyelashes) my hair started to grow back! And it pushed out any hair that had been there so it was a completely new set of hair follicles all starting at the same time-kinda cool.
And so this is the story of what has happened since then and what will happen as the journey continues:)
